Why this site?      Home Page

Many university graduates would like to get more education in the multimedia field  (click here for a definition in a new browser window).  As this is a relatively new area, students looking for a Masters program would like to view several options before making their choice, but may sometimes find it difficult to do so as locating a link for a multimedia related course can be a very time-consuming task; some universities make it easy to find course links while others require visitors to go through extreme search efforts before locating what they need.

Please note that all MSc course links will open in a new browser window (as it is reasonable to assume visitors will open several links and explore each one of them in some great detail).

This site is designed based on the following assumptions about its visitors:

1. They have graduated or are almost finished with their first degree (most likely a BS [Bachelor of Science] or equivalent) in a computer-related discipline (such as Computer Science or Software Engineering, and involving a lot of math and programming).

2. They want to continue their studies at postgraduate Masters level (most likely an MSc [Master of Science] degree) in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) in a multimedia-related field.

3.  They do not have the time for registering, fancy graphics, excessive java, cookies, pretty pictures or anything else to waste time (but there are hosting service and some other advertisements at the bottom;  if you do click on them and take up any of those services is up to you!) and want an almost text-only, fast to load site with links that work (checked regularly but do let us know if any of them do not work any more).

What types of courses are listed here?

This site is a private project, and by no means lists everything that is out there or will be out there.  Courses included here must meet the following criteria:

1.  They are offered at Masters postgraduate level by a university in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) and require students to regularly attend classes and exams in the UK (we do not list distance learning courses).  An MSc or MA degree must be awarded to successful students on completion.

2.  They have a course-specific page (in the .ac.uk domain, some with more details than others) that can be accessed directly without the need to go through the home page of the university offering the course.

3.  The courses are already running (i.e. students have already been enrolled) and are open to new applications (we exclude courses which have been discontinued or courses planned for the future which have not yet started accepting applicants or where the first year of teaching has not yet began).  If any course is listed in error, the link will be removed from the site at the first available opportunity.

This site is free to all visitors to access.  However, if you wish to suggest any additions or request any deletions, please email mm05webteam@mscmultimedia.co.uk but please remember we are not affiliated with any university and we are unable to assist with any course enquiries.

We do not maintain email lists and we do not send out any newsletters or emails other than responses to queries.
Any emails from any address not in the .ac.uk domain will be deleted on receipt.  This is due to our strict no-spam policy.  If you have a question about a specific course or institution, please contact them directly.
